MAZ Hair Extensions

About MAZ

I'm Milda.

I specialise in bespoke keratin bond hair extensions with a particular focus on naturally wavy and curly hair.

I work alone, with a trained team member occasionally assisting. I have naturally curly hair myself, and I live with textured extensions.

My story

Why texture matching matters so much to me

When I had my first extensions at 18, they were straight. For about 18 months, I straightened my own hair constantly to make the two blend.

Eventually, my hair broke to below my ears and I had to stop.

That experience is why texture matching became my specialism.

The real test is not how the hair looks when you leave the studio. It is what happens after the first wash.

How I work

Finding hair that matches the client

I worked in retail management, spent two years in Australia and became a mum to two daughters, while always following the hair-extension industry.

Finding textured extension hair changed the question from “How do I make the client's hair match the extensions?” to “How do I find extensions that match the client?”

MAZ is not only for curly hair. Fine straight hair may need extremely small strands, short sides need particular placement, and a dimensional blonde may need several colours mixed through the set.

Every strand

Prepared completely by hand

I work with loose hair, not factory-made pre-bonded strands. I have never fitted a factory-made pre-bonded strand.

The preparation takes hours, but it gives me control that is not possible when every strand arrives the same size and weight.

I can control the amount of extension hair and the amount of keratin in each strand, so different areas of the head can be approached differently.

More than a colour ring

A library of real hair

I keep over 10kg of loose extension hair in the studio.

It is a library of real hair that I can touch, wash, brush and compare. You can feel the strand thickness, compare textures and hold different lengths against you instead of having a small colour ring held against your head.

Sometimes I find the match quickly. Sometimes I mix several. Sometimes nothing in the room is right and I source specifically for you.
